A story on lost glasses and much bettered eyesight – a true story of a writer on healthful food. How your positive contribution into lives of others may echo in your own life.

It seems that the only times when we remunerate attention to our mental and physical health are when our bodies cannot cope with the burdens, stresses and strains of life. These seem to harass us closely all of the time and it is at these times when we draw on the virtues of nature to provide us with miraculous cures. Just think though, if we were to acquaint ourselves with the terrifi calibers of nature early on in our childhood, then we may not come up versus so some difficulties later in life.

After my hard and pressurising working-week I was so tired that I couldn’t sleep properly. The following day I could not find my glasses. I necessitated them urgently to write a letter but I could not find them anywhere. Imagine my delight when I abruptly found that I could write without my glasses! What a miracle! I was utterly bemused by this for ages but then came to comprehend that this marvellous invention was the result of my drinking a glass of fresh carrot juice each day.

Up to that point, I had taken assorted dissimilar supplements and vitamins to improve my eyesight but they didn’t seem to make much of a difference. Could it be that the fresh carrot juice that I drank each morning had actually provided a cure? I scolded myself, ‘You tell everyone with regards to healthful gains of fruits and vegetables. You wrote so a good deal of fairy tales, stories and legends regarding the miracles of carrots and yet you can’t believe in this miracle!’ One day, teachers from a school in Russia sent us a letter telling us regarding how they had integrated our fairytales into their children’s lessons. They had brought a huge pumpkin along to the lessons and told the children that ‘Auntie Pumpkin’ ruled the vegetable kingdom as she was the greatest and most caring vegetable on the planet. They then told the children regarding the miracles that the green-eyed Auntie Pumpkin could make in her magnificent orange dress; how she could heal painful joints and beef up bones and bowels.

It wasn’t long before parents started to complain. One mother moaned: ‘My daughter won’t let her father relax. He loves to lie down in front of the television after work but she keeps pulling at his sleeves to come into the kitchen and eat pumpkin. She was repeating all evening, ‘Papa, now I recognise why you are always so tired. It is because you don’t eat pumpkin. It is pumpkin which gives strenghth and energy!’

‘My son keeps pestering me regarding pumpkins. Every day he wants to have it for dinner. He keeps saying, ‘I don’t want my teeth to turn bad.’In the past he would never eat pumpkin,’ exclaimed another mother.

Here, we have a real fact of life with regards to what just one fairytale may do – it may fabricate a miraculous impression on children.

One day, I visited a school at lunchtime. The school-cooks prepared carrot salad for the kids. When I saw how one boy pushed away his plate of salad with hatred in his eyes, I asked him, ‘Do you know why gnomes like carrots more than gold?’ At that point, all conversations in the dining hall stopped and all eyes turned to me. ‘They actually do like carrots more than gold.’ I said again. ‘In some countries they tell stories when it comes to how gnomes trade lumps of gold with woodcutters in interchange for delicious carrots.’ – This is because there is vitamin A in carrots which helps persons to grow huge and strong. Gnomes grow very tardily so vitamins that may aid them to grow rapidly and without delay are more valuable to them that all the jewels on the earth. The vitamins in carrots may also aid you to see perfectly. The light underground is very bad so gnomes’ eyes suffer. Fresh carrot is a terrifi heal for them. If you want to see a gnome you ought to always go into the forest with a heap of carrots.

After dinner, the school’s cook told the teacher that every one wanted extra helpings of carrot salad. ‘They’re probably up to a lot of kind of mischief. We always have loads of salad left over.’ The cook said.

It is strange but very many times we receive letters from students from dissimilar colleges and schools who are writing essays and reports on healthful feed and ask if we will concede them to use our illustrations of talking strawberries and playful bananas!

Our message to all: Dear friends, our fruits and vegetables do not only talk and play in our illustrations. They also talk and play in the fairytales and stories which tell us of their fantasti secrets. These fruits and vegetables will stay close to our hearts forever. All we ought to do is learn in regards to their miraculous calibers and make use of them in our every day lives.

5Practical Wisdom
By J. Karl
This book has really inspired me to acknowledge things that were bugging me about myself. The author is kind enough to not only pinpoint ideas that can make for a better life but also provides that little nudge at the end of each short,to the point, chapter to move the reader to action. It just all makes so much sense. Ms. Gallagher serves up different items on her suggestion menu in just the right amounts with the perfect flavor for each one. Easy to read, hard to put down, wonderful to share. I think it would be fun to have a close group of friends get together once a week and share their experiences chapter by chapter. I can see where this would make for some great discussion.

5Wow-
By A. Clark
The title of the book in itself was almost a lifesaver for me. It was exactly what was needed. Gallagher’s ‘to the core’ writing really got through to me. I originally borrowed it from a library, but then knew immedately only a few pages into it that it was going to be a keeper. The book is organzied not in lists of how to improve ones self, but rather it’s taken one idea per week, so to speak. It’s organized so that an individual can really dive into each self improvement suggestion and get the most out of her teachings.
I got so much out of this book, I’m not only recommending it to other friend, but buying a couple of copies to pass out to friends. I think anyone and everyone can look at this book as a breath of fresh air and feel motivated to make tiny but significant changes.
